From a chat to a movement

We Outside started as a group chat in 2022. A handful of friends in Nairobi tired of the same nights, the same lineups, the same expectations. We wanted music we'd actually choose to listen to and rooms full of people we'd actually want to know. So we built it.

Four volumes in, We Outside has hosted 47 events across 8 cities and grown to over 12,000 Outsiders strong. Vol.04 takes us deeper into Nairobi and out to the Coast — bigger rooms, sharper lineups, the same energy that started it all.

Every Outside night, someone meets the person who becomes their next collaborator, business partner, or best friend. We design for that — long tables, low ceilings, music loud enough to dance to but soft enough to talk over. The room does the rest.

Twice a year we leave the city. Three days, one beach, no phones in the front row. The Coast Drift weekenders are where the deepest friendships in this community get forged — barefoot, sunburnt, and grinning.
